I have a laptop that’s powered/charged via a USB-C and has an additional USB-C and USB-A. So if I’m plugged in/charging and have a wireless mouse dongle in the USB-A and an external drive in the other USB-C I have no way to get my camera -m or anything else – connected to download and backup files. This USB Hub is the solution. This device arrived the day after I ordered it in brand-new safe-and-sound condition. It’s a nicely-designed and well-made device. It is metallic, appearing to be made of aluminum – very nice! It is, of course, small. Since it’s got a USB-A plug on one end and a USB-C plug on the other I can attach it to my laptop with either and then have 2 USB-A and 2 USB-C ports available. Wonderful! So far it’s worked great. No difficulties at all. I just have to be sure there is space in the work area for the thing to stick out from where it’s plugged in. I suppose I could get – and will consider getting – an adapter so that I can plug it in with a short cable but so far it’s not been a problem this little thing sticking out from the back of my laptop. It travels well in my laptop bag without a separate carry case. At $8.99 list as of this writing it’s quite economical as well!
