If you need a quick replacement for your current keyboard and mouse, at under 20 dollars this is actually a steal. It visually gives the look of a trendy gaming keyboard set and has a nice rainbow color backlight pattern that really adds to the gamer vibe. There is no battery internally. They're both corded, and while the cords aren't exceptionally long, they're about standard size. This is a super good deal for a basic mouse and keyboard but if you're looking for something with quality, or coming from that context, there will be some issues. It's odd because it seems like there's literally no plastic wasted on the keyboard, which is super compact and light, but it seems like the mouse has a lot of extra design work on it that just makes it super long and awkward. It also has giant screws holding the plate together near the thumb and a lot of uneven surface that feels clunky to use. I'm female and I have very long and somewhat thin hands without fingernails. My hands are usually bigger than the mice I order. I've been using a Razer mouse, I think like a Deathadder or mamba or some other snake name, and I've seen folks consider that to be large, and this is even larger than that. I'm probably going to switch back to it, honestly, because this mouse just feels weird to use. If I put the arch in the palm of my hand, my finger tips are over the edge of the clicking zone. If I pull my hand farther back to my normal comfort position with my wrist on the pad and my fingers doing the movement, the mouse will go diagonal instead of straight. My thumb is also constantly touching the adjustment buttons, which function more like a back and forward button than the usual speed control or volume button. I did manually adjust the speed of the mouse in my computer's desktop settings, but it is not fine-tuned enough, so the mouse is either too fast or too slow, which I didn't realize would be a difficult thing to calibrate, having come from a mouse that has a dashboard for control. The keyboard is very satisfyingly clicky and kinda fun to use. I may have had too much fun clicking because after like 48 hours of gaming and mass review writing, the space bar has developed a bit of a squeak that's noticeable if you're in a quiet room and typing for hours on end, which I am. I'll continue using the keyboard until the squeak becomes unbearable because I really like the click feeling it provides, which I did not realize I was missing in my Razer keyboard. Similarly, there is no control app for this keyboard, so you can't change the color settings, gradient, or pattern of lights. Honestly, I think I played with those features like the first week in my other one, but then never used them again. I can see this being an awesome way to get a kiddo a keyboard and mouse set that feels expensive and fancy or to get for yourself, because you just like the visuals or are in desperate need of a replacement, and this, for some reason, is the only one you can get. I would not order this expecting gaming quality, and for sure it won't hold up to that type of use, but the value for price is definitely there.
