The mouse has 5 buttons on it so that you can explore not only gaming but as making surfing internet pages a breeze! I use this set for making game mods and the keyboard functions very well when used in programs like Blender 3D. I like the fact that this set also comes with a cool mouse pad so you can get started using the mouse right away. Both keyboard and mouse are a plug and play (no install programs needed) and are ready to go right out the box. As soon as you plug them into your pc, they light up. The keyboard lights up with color and the mouse alternates through various colors from red to white. No batteries are required as this set are usb wired. If you want to stop the mouse or keyboard from lighting up, there are functions on the keyboard that you can hit to make the mouse and keyboard stop. The price was great and was delivered on time. I highly recommend getting this if you really want to game in style and non-stop into the wee hours of the night to pull that all nighter game level that just seems nearly impossible to beat.
