Lights work very well and are easy to turn on and off. The keyboard and mouse had no connection issues. The keyboard and mouse is compact and do not take up that much space on my standard sized desk. There is some weird spots of paint where it looks like paint is missing, if that bothers you. The keyboard is build well.
I bought the keyboard on July 16, 2019, and immediately fell in love with the feel. I am not a gamer, I use the keyboard for work. I prefer a mechanical feel while typing (showing my age with that word). The back-light keys give some fun and flare to my long hours. Each row is it's own color and that color cannot change but there are several modes/lighting effects (full, breathing, star, water L to R and water R to L, and more). The keyboard is fairly noisy but my husband can still nap through it on the nearby couch. I like that there is no additional surround; the keys go to edge of the board. The calculator key in the upper right corner was a deciding factor in addition to the good ratings for the price. After 3 months of use one row stopped working. The excellent customer support sent me a new keyboard! Customer support was very responsive, asked for a video to show the problem, and then sent the keyboard and followed up with me to ensure I was happy once again.
This is a great cheap mechanical keyboard, and this isn't a bad thing. It is stable, has some weight so it doesn't slide around, great lighting (but I do wish there was an option for mono-lighting). The rainbow effect was throwing me off with so many different colors per row. However, I got used to it. It clicks and clacks, and I think I'm going to purchase some brown or red switches to quiet them down. Love the option that I can do that. Yes, I know, for the total cost, I could have just gotten a brown switch keyboard. However, that is just something to think about, and the real reason I got this is that it's low cost, mechanical, and has dedicated volume controls. Why loud is on the left, and quiet is on the right side of each other is perplexing. Another odd thing is that I want all the LEDs to light up, however, only lights up when CAPS lock, NUM lock are on, and Windows button is disabled will they light up. I can understand CAPS lock and Num lock, but if one wishes to have Windows button enabled, won't it be on and not off? Oh well, not a deal breaker. Especially at this price point. Will update if run into any issues.
